CompDRILL device avoiding delamination in composites materials
We developped an innovative device for multi-material drilling. The CompDRILL unit allows you to drill a metallic + composite assembly without generating delamination onto the back face.
It also avoid delamination on single composite plate drilling, even with out any back plate!
CompDRILL is perfectly suitable and gives to operator a full repeatable process allowing to reduce oversize repair and increase repair/manufacture quality.
The CompDrill is approved in Structural repair manual (SRM) for A350 repairs.
The compdrill device:
